Tyler Cassells BHSII, BSc (Hons), NVQ3
Tyler runs his own successful Eventing yard at Somerford Park, Cheshire. An International rider representing Great Britain, he holds a BA in Equine Science and Management, BHS Intermediate Instructors Qualification and UKCC Level 2 Certification. Tyler teaches regular clinics at our Equestrian Centre and offers work experience and Apprenticeship placements to diligent and hardworking students wishing to develop further experience in the Eventing sector. He has also been selected to be on the Excell Talent Programme, as well as being part of the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).
Tullis Matson, Stallion AI Services
Tullis owns and manages Stallion AI Services, well known as one of the leading reproductive semen collection and AI Centres in the UK. The DEFRA approved collection centre in Whitchurch, Shropshire boasts the latest technology and facilities and Tullis and his team have been supporting Reaseheath for a number of years, with our students annually assisting at the Centre’s Open Day in May and providing guidance to hardworking students. Tullis began his career with horses working in a racing stables as Assistant Trainer to Phillip Hobbs. In 1990 he came home to run his fathers’s non Thoroughbred Sud at Twemlows Hall before founding Stallion AI Services in 1996. Tullis and his team recently featured on BBC1’s Countryfile, focussing on their work with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
Gina Machin, Acton Hall EC
Gina is the proprietor of Acton Hall Equestrian Centre, one of Staffordshire’s leading Competition Centre and Livery Services. Set in fifty acres of countryside the centre offers clients the opportunity to develop their Equitation and Management skills. Gina has a number of years’ experience in training students and will be a wealth of knowledge to support those in taking the next step in their career.
Gillian Carlisle BHSII, Chief Executive, Thoroughbred Retraining Centre
Gillian is the Chief Executive of the Thoroughbred Retraining Centre (BTRC), a charity dedicated to improving and promoting the welfare of retired racehorses. Gillian, who holds the British Horse Society Intermediate Instructors Certificate was previously Equine Operations Manager for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, managing the Beas River Equestrian Complex, further, she was responsible for managing the retired racehorse population that was not exported by their race owners. Gillian has previously trained with Irish Olympic Event Rider, Eric Smiley FBHS and has a real passion for not only her work, but the success of those wanting to pave a successful career path in the equine industry.
Steph Bradley, Freedom Saddlery
Steph owns and manages Freedom Saddlery, one of a handful of saddle fitters qualified with both the M.S.F.C. Diploma and S.M.S. Reg’d Q.S.F. saddle fitting qualifications. Steph’s clients primarily cover North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire and the Northwest of England, however she also covers Gloucestershire and Ireland, Dubai and Guernsey. Steph rides competitively up to Advanced level Dressage and has represented Wales on the home International team from 2011 to present, in addition to training with many high profile Dressage riders, including Charlotte Dujardin, Diane Breeze and Dane Rawlins.
Fiona Saxby, British Eventing Regional Development Officer
Fiona Saxby is the Regional Development Officer for North Wales and the West Midlands and is also a BE Scorer, Entries Secretary and Organiser of the Baileys Horse Feeds Jump Training Series. She has a wealth of experience within a range of different sectors of the industry and is excited to be supporting our students reach their goals in order to be successful in this ever changing industry.
