Discover Your Community: Reaseheath Societies
At Reaseheath, we believe in the power of shared passions! We offer a huge range of societies, all completely free to join, and they can’t wait to welcome new students like you. Each society is made up of passionate students with shared interests, who meet regularly to increase awareness of their cause, raise money for charity, and have an incredible time doing it!

Take the lead
Want to lead your own Society? You can start up any society by registering it with the Student Life Team. All you need is at least 3 people – the Chair, the Vice and the Administrator:
- The Society Chair: Plans and runs the society meetings and may fundraise for a trip or long-term project.
- The Society Vice: Supports the Chair and covers meetings in their absence.
- The Society Administrator: Maintains registers and communicates with the Student Union Societies Officer re events, fundraising, room bookings etc.
You will be supported by the Societies Officer, Student Union President and Student Life Team. Below are some ex-societies who need a new Chair, but you are welcome to suggest and create your very own, too!
Book Club: If you love to read, join our Book Society to explore diverse literature and connect with others who share your passion.
Farmers: Do you come from an agricultural background or are you looking to meet others who are? Our Farmers Society is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Think the infamous Young Farmers, but with the Reaseheath community!
Communications & Photography Society: Join our Communications Society to manage our social media platforms, plan engaging social media strategies and create content for Instagram and TikTok. You could also contribute by photographing our activities and socials, or by writing content for the website! This is particularly excellent experience for Business students.
Equine: Giddy on over to our Equine Society and enjoy a fantastic trip into the equine world, learning about everything from stable work to riding.
