Reaseheath College is proud to celebrate T Levels Week, running from December 2nd to 6th by showcasing its commitment to delivering these pioneering qualifications.
This national initiative highlights the importance of T Levels in bridging the gap between education and industry, equipping young people with the skills needed for success in the modern workforce.
T Levels are a new generation of qualifications, equivalent to three A Levels, combining rigorous academic learning with substantial industry placements.
Reaseheath offers a diverse range of T Levels across sectors like agriculture, business, construction, forestry, and food science. As part of this year’s celebrations, the college is thrilled to announce two exciting new qualifications – T Level in Marketing and T Level in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscaping.
The T Level in Marketing is tailored for creative and analytical students with strong communication skills. Covering topics such as business fundamentals, marketing strategy, and campaign analysis, this course prepares learners for roles including Marketing Manager, Social Media Specialist, and Events Coordinator.
For those passionate about the outdoors and sustainable design, the T Level in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscaping offers an immersive experience in plant science, garden design, and landscaping techniques. Students are equipped for careers such as Landscape Gardener, Horticulture Technician, and Environmental Conservationist.
Like all other T Levels, both courses combine in-depth classroom learning with 315 hours of industry placement, ensuring students gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in their chosen fields. They provide direct pathways to higher education, degree apprenticeships, or skilled employment, meeting the demands of rapidly growing sectors.
College Principal and CEO Marcus Clinton shared his enthusiasm for T Levels, saying: “T Levels represent a transformative approach to education, providing students with the knowledge and real-world experience to thrive in their chosen industries. At Reaseheath, we’re proud to lead the way with our diverse range of courses and to be introducing new opportunities in marketing and horticulture. This is education with purpose, setting students up for lifelong success and fruitful careers.”
The week will also highlight the partnerships between Reaseheath and employers who have enabled students to complete industry placements integral to their qualifications. These collaborations ensure that students graduate ready to meet the demands of their chosen sectors.
Andy Maddock, Site Agent for Balfour Beatty which has supported several construction placements, said: “We decided to get involved with Reaseheath College’s T Levels scheme because it offers a fantastic way to bring young, enthusiastic talent into the business. We’ve seen firsthand how the structured training T Levels provide can complement the practical experience we offer on site. It’s a win-win: the students get a real feel for the industry, and we benefit from their fresh perspectives and eagerness to learn.”
Skills Minister Jacqui Smith underscored the importance of these qualifications saying: “This Government is backing T Levels as a top-quality qualification, helping young people develop skills to seize opportunity. T Levels offer hands-on experience in the workplace and excellent career prospects for young people seeking skilled work or further study. I’m delighted to see more employers getting behind T Levels by offering industry placements, helping to nurture future talent and support the development of in-demand skills.”
