“I don’t have a farming background but I’m passionate about the industry and particularly about how we can produce food for the future.

“Since coming to Reaseheath I’ve become interested in how we can sustainably increase soil productivity. It’s about reducing waste and increasing yields without stripping the nutrients from the soil. We’re a small planet with a growing population and we need to make plans now so the next generations can survive and thrive.

“I came to Reaseheath to learn and I’ve loved helping in the milking parlour and with the student sheep flock during lambing. Although I had little experience I soon learned because I was so well supported by staff.”
