PRIDE Festival
Hey everyone! What a fantastic event we had! On Monday 13th May 2019, myself, Chelsey (Vice-President RAG) and a big team of students and staff volunteers, kicked off our charity RAG week for Diabetes UK with Reaseheath College’s first ever PRIDE Festival. The event took place between 11am-3pm on the beautiful Reaseheath Lawn, just by the lake.
So many activities took place under the incredible sun, ranging from a bouncy castle, face-painting, RAG Raft Race, a live DJ set, carnival games, stocks, RAG Raffle and ‘have-a-go’ floristry!
We were also lucky to have Cheshire police and Cheshire fire brigade present with their rainbow vehicles, along with our very own Wellbeing team and Body Positive too! A fantastic amount of food was on offer as well, including our charity bake stall and the yummy Pride ice-creams.
The event overall was so positive, with so many students and staff enjoying themselves, I couldn’t of been more happy with how it all turned out, I can’t wait to do it all again next year!
A MASSIVE thank you to everyone that volunteered and participated with celebrating Reaseheath PRIDE Festival, we managed to raise £419 overall for that day, a fantastic start to RAG week and to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion!
