Join us for our Open Farm Sunday!
We are pleased to host an Open Farm Sunday at Reaseheath College on the 8th June. The College farm has made many technological advancements that we would love to share with you – from our Lely Robotic Milking to our Lely Vector Automatic feeding system where you can watch the feeder robots drive themselves around the cattle sheds!
There will be many family fun activities to take part in, farm talks, see the pigs, sheep and cows up close and speak to our wonderful farm and agricultural staff with any questions you may have.
Food produced from the Reaseheath College Farm to Fork project will be available to purchase on the day. Our farm is home to sheep, cattle and pigs that we raise with care, teaching students about responsible animal husbandry and sustainable farming practices. The lamb, beef and pork produced is then used in dishes for our restaurant and outlets, giving students and visitors the opportunity to learn about the journey of meat from pasture to plate.
Entry to the Open Farm Sunday event is free for the farm, the Reaseheath College Zoo will be open on the day also but entry to the zoo is payable, kids will go free to the zoo with any paying adult who has attended the Open Farm Sunday event at the farm.
