Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills

If you are an experienced welder requiring professional accreditation, our Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills is the course for you!

This is a highly practical course that will be delivered in our £1 million purpose-built engineering workshop and covers all of the underpinning knowledge of welding as well as health and safety.

On this course, you can study one of the following units:

  • Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
  • Welding Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
  • Welding Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
  • Welding Fluxed Core Arc

You will focus on one of the following: Flux Arc Welding/ MMA Welding (pipe)/ MIG welding (pipe)/ MIG welding (Plate)/ Oxy Acetylene Welding/ TIG (Aluminium)/ TIG (Pipe)/ TIG (Sheet).

All processes delivered for sheet, plate or pipe will be on low carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium 3,6 or 10mm (2-10-inch pipe).

Start date:

  • 8 November 2022 – 1 December 2023

You will likely be studying one evening per week and one day at the weekend.
