“The experiences I had during six years at Reaseheath have shaped my future. After my Level 2 Diploma I went to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands on an amazing student trip. After my Level 3 Diploma I went to Namibia, where we cared for cheetahs, leopards and lions in a sanctuary and carried out field work such as tracking and surveying.
“During my foundation degree I volunteered at Reaseheath’s zoo and became a part-time keeper. It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on experience with a BIAZA collection and cemented my decision to become a zoo keeper.
“The whole package helped me stand out, and I now have a great job caring for endangered and unusual species such as maned wolves, tayras and an aardwolf.”
