Beaumont Richards and Brandon Whitehead have been crowned Reaseheath College Maths and English department’s stars of the term. Both Beaumont and Brandon were nominated for demonstrating excellent effort in Maths and English and maintaining 100% attendance.
Beaumont who’s studying on our Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair course and Level 2 Extended Certificate in Horse Care student Brandon were both awarded an iPad. The pair were presented with their prizes by Assistant Principal, Paul Spearritt in front of an audience of proud English and Maths tutors and their course managers.
Every term one student from each Maths and English group are nominated as their ‘star’ – one student for English and another for Maths. Students are nominated for a range of positive attributes including excellent attendance, good attitude, exemplary commitment and effort to learn. All nominated students are then placed into a prize draw, with the chance to win an iPad.
Chris Chadwick, Maths Course Manager said: “Always asking questions for help, extra work and showing a genuine interest in wanting to pass his Maths GCSE. Brandon is currently on target to get his predicted grade and has done well in mocks. A fantastic example for the rest of the college and Brandon should be very proud of the progress he has made in Maths. Well Done!”
Sophie Smithdale, English Course Manager said “Beaumont has a focused and determined attitude in lessons despite having had a tricky start to the year. His attendance and attitude are excellent and he has made great progress over the last few months through perseverance and hard work. Well done. ”
