“I enjoyed so many experiences and opportunities at Reaseheath. I was encouraged to try different things and to develop my own unique skills set.
“Becoming a Reaseheath zoo guide and getting involved in summer schools made me think seriously about becoming an educator, specialising in natural history and conservation. It’s really important that we inspire the next generation to care for the natural world.
“While I was an undergraduate I gained a Youth Leadership Award, and I also Chaired Chester Zoo’s Youth Board. We were tasked with helping to shape the zoo’s future and strengthen its appeal to teenagers and young adults.
“I now set up forest schools and work with primary schools, so I feel I’ve achieved a lot.”
