Exceptional students have been recognised for their achievements in maths and English lessons since the beginning of term.
A total of eight students were given a gift voucher, certificate and chocolate bar at an awards ceremony, in recognition of their amazing work and positive attitudes since they started in September.
The prizes were presented to the students by their teachers, who proudly explained the reason for each award.
Maths and English teachers submitted hundreds of nominations throughout the term each time a student displayed a positive attribute, including excellent attendance, a good attitude, exemplary commitment and effort to learn. The eight winning students were selected from these nominations at random.
Holly Connor, Curriculum Area Manager for Maths and English said: “This is a great way to reward and motivate our students to achieve their best. The awards today were a great chance to celebrate our students’ achievements, not just in maths and English, but also in their wider skills such as communication, time management and perseverance.”
The winning students are as follows:
1st prize: Sophie Bowen (Foundation)
2nd prize: Ryan Harper-Griffiths (Sport)
3rd prize: Abby Bache (Animal Management)
