“I’m employed by two companies which provide domestic and commercial tree care services. I completed work placements with both during my course so I’d already formed a good relationship with the owners and proved that I could work to industry standard. 

“We were encouraged to network by our lecturers and gaining contacts with companies like these was a tremendous help when I was ready to move into the sector. My course gave me the key skills I’d need, like how to use equipment correctly and about workplace health and safety, and I also enjoyed learning the science behind tree growth and tree diseases. I feel very lucky I had such a good start.”
