Welcome from the Principal
Thank you for your interest in the post of Dean of Higher Education and Assistant Principal at Reaseheath College and University Centre. I hope after reading the information on the following pages you will be inspired by the opportunity to make a difference at the College and in the communities and sectors we serve.
Reaseheath College is an exciting and demanding place in which to work. We are one of the largest specialist land-based Colleges in the country and offer a wide range of technical and vocational programmes for learners. We recruit students nationally and internationally and have around 900 residential students living on site.
Reaseheath College has a strong strategic alliance with the University of Chester (UoC) and was awarded University Centre status in January 2017. It has a faculty of undergraduate students plus higher-level apprenticeships with plans for the development of degree apprenticeships and postgraduate provision. Its curriculum focus is higher-level technical and professional skills development and all programmes have a high level of science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) content, within a range of FdSc and BSc (Hons) awards.
We are a very ambitious College and our senior leadership team and Governors have a clear sense of our strategic direction. We are determined to make Reaseheath College one of the best Further and Higher Education colleges in the country, meeting the needs of students, employers and the communities we serve. This has been supported by a major capital investment of £80M on campus facilities and resources, with investment projects continually being secured, including the new Institute of Technology.
I hope you will feel excited by this exciting opportunity to join our College and, if you share our vision and ambition, we look forward to hearing from you.
