“Throughout my six years at Reaseheath I was encouraged to develop my own ideas, further my knowledge and work independently. Although I have a non-farming background, I’m passionate about dairy cows and their welfare and this was encouraged throughout my studies.
“My diploma gave me a solid base of knowledge plus practical skills while my degree allowed me to study in depth and to specialise. I took advantage of work placements and studied for my BSc and Master’s degrees alongside a full time position as dairy herd manager, so I was able to apply my learning in practice.
“I’m now working for a global leader in animal health and pharmaceutical products. My role is to support nutrition product sales by providing CPD to animal health professionals. I also support vets on farm to Interpret evidence gathered and recommend dietary supplements for ruminants when necessary. It’s a great job and I really enjoy it.”
