The Assistant Principal – Student Experience & Support is a member of the Executive team with strategic responsibility for safeguarding, residential provision, the student experience and student support.   Working in partnership with other members of the Executive team and supporting the Vice Principal Curriculum & Quality, you will deliver an innovative student experience aligned to our Industry Focused, Career Ready mission delivering employability skills and knowledge to our students.

You will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the College, supported by a team of Safeguarding Leads, shaping our approach to safeguarding, Prevent and child protection.  You will also be responsible for leading the College’s approach to student support, funding and high needs as well as careers, wellbeing and inclusion.  You will manage a team of support managers and together you will provide the management capacity and expertise to maintain the focus and drive in the areas of student experience and student support to deliver against our new three-year Strategic Plan.

The College places a significant emphasis on team and cross-College working. In addition to providing strong leadership for staff the Assistant Principal will be expected to support the development of the management capacity within the College to ensure best practice is shared and embedded.
