Apprenticeships are an excellent way to gain a nationally recognised industry qualification and valuable workplace skills, all whilst earning a wage!
Training you in the skills employers want, apprenticeships give you choices in your career. Following your apprenticeship, you could continue working for your employer or go on to higher education in a college or university.
To be eligible for an Apprenticeship you must be over the age of 16, not in full-time education, working in England to find an employer who will employ you for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
If you have got an employer, please click on the apply now tab, if you are still searching for an employer to do your apprenticeship, please see our live vacancies.
Why choose an apprenticeship?
- Earn a wage with paid holidays
- Gain a recognised industry qualification or a degree without incurring any fees
- Receive on-the-job training working alongside experienced staff
- Learn job specific skills
- Enhance career progression within your industry
Apprenticeships are designed to allow you to earn while you learn with most of your time spent at your workplace and usually one day per week at Reaseheath or, if you’re on a national programme, you will attend college on block release. You will be paid for attending college by your employer.
There are various types and levels of apprenticeships from Level 2 (intermediate) through to Level 5 (degree). Before your apprenticeship starts we will invite you for an interview and initial assessment here at the college to confirm eligibility and suitability.
The college has a dedicated team who are on-hand to support you with finding suitable employment.
There are a number of new apprenticeship standards designed by employers which are delivered by the college.
If you are aged 16 and over and working 30 hours or more a week you can begin an apprenticeship at Reaseheath.
On starting your apprenticeship you will be invited to Reaseheath for an induction and allocated a Skills Coach who will support and guide you throughout.
Reaseheath apprentices may also access college transport or accommodation, depending on whether you will be attending college on day or block release.
If you are aged over 19 at the start of your apprenticeship your employer may be expected to make a contribution towards the cost of training.
