So, you are currently doing your GCSE exams, or have already finished them. What now? Where do you go? You do have options. Why stay at school for an extra two years in sixth-form when you can go to college? It is a big decision, but it may just be time to spread your wings!

College gives you more of a flexible lifestyle. You won’t be expected to attend college every day. This allows more time for you to self-study, spend time doing work experience and hang out with your new friends. It is important that you have a balanced lifestyle, ensuring you are completing all of your coursework, but still maintaining a good relationship with your family and friends.

There are many courses at Reaseheath College for you to choose from, so you’ll be sure to find a subject that suits you. From Agriculture to Floristry, Sports to Equine, Food Technology to Motor Vehicle and many more, there is a course for everyone. All of the courses have specially qualified staff members to make sure that you get the most out of your education at college.

If you didn’t quite pass your exams or didn’t get the GCSE grades you hoped for, don’t worry. You can study English and maths alongside your course if you didn’t achieve the grade you wanted. At college, there are different levels of each course that you can join depending on your grades. This means you can work your way up the levels until you get the highest qualification on that course.

College is aimed at people over the age of 16, meaning it is more of a mature environment. This allows you to adapt and mature with people your age and older. Why stay with students younger than you?

Our college transport helps over 1,400 students with getting to and from college safely and efficiently. Live too far away? Reaseheath College has halls of residence too, meaning you can live there! With 24-hour safeguarding, you are always looked after. And it doesn’t stop there! Our wellbeing team is also available to all students for a chat, advice or guidance on a variety of topics.

I decided to go to Reaseheath College instead of sixth form, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am finishing my last year of my course, and don’t want it to end. There is so much that I have experienced here at Reaseheath that I wouldn’t have even considered doing in sixth form.

During my course (Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services), I have done activities such as riot training with Cheshire Police, worked with the National Citizen Service and much more. You wouldn’t be doing that in sixth form, would you? Living in the accommodation at Reaseheath has given me even more experience. I have made even more friends, become more independent, and even have part-time job. Reaseheath College has helped me to grow into a more confident and employable person. You could do the same!
