Type of Learner: The qualification is aimed at those who use brush-cutters or trimmers as part of their work, either in horticulture, arboriculture, or forestry.
Learning outcome: Know the legislative requirements and codes of practice relating to the use of brush cutters and trimmers.
What you need to do: Complete a practical test with one-to-one verbal questioning.
Qualification Overview: This covers the use of brush-cutters or trimmers, covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to cut or trim to the capacity of the machine.
Duration
1-day practical training followed by an assessment on a separate date of 1.5 hours
