We are excited to begin offering T Levels in both Construction and Business for the first time from September 2022.

T Levels are new two-year qualifications which have been introduced by the government to help provide the technical expertise for the jobs of the future.

The three T Levels we will be offering from September 2022 are Management and Administration, Design, Surveying and Planning, and On-Site Construction. The On-Site Construction T Level gives students the opportunity to choose a specialism from either Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering or Bricklaying, and all have been designed with employers and include a substantial work placement, which will give students the skills employers are looking for.

We are busy preparing for the change and have held several T Level applicant days on campus over the last few months for those who have applied to study a T Level at Reaseheath.

A high number of applicants were welcomed to these informative sessions, where they heard staff explain more about the new qualifications and what they would learn on the course to help them become career ready. Applicants also took part in both an interview and various activities which assessed their suitability for the course.

Some sessions also involved some of Reaseheath’s industry partners giving the applicants an insight into their chosen industry, and the applicants learnt how the substantial 315-hour work placement would help them find employment in the future.

We have formed strong partnerships with many employers from the sectors we serve, and we are keen to continue to form others in our preparation for delivering T Levels.

In the next academic year from September 2023, we will begin offering T Levels in many other land-based subject areas, including Land-based Engineering, Animal Care and Management, Equine Care and Management, Livestock Production, Tree and Woodland Management and Maintenance, Crop and Plant Production, Floristry, Habitat Management and more.
