C&G Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue – CS38 (0039-22)
This standard covers the accessing of trees through climbing (both ladders and using climbing equipment) and by Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) to carry out rescues in a variety of contexts (pruning operation, cutting, dismantle or rigging).
The aerial rescues include recovery of both conscious and unconscious casualties. When carrying out aerial rescue you must maintain high standards of health and safety at all time for both yourself and the people you will come into contact with. This standard is for those carrying out aerial rescue operations. Your work must conform to all current legislation and codes of practice.
This is a 5-day course followed by an assessment on a separate date All assessments will be arranged to take place after training has been completed. You will be given the date and time during the training.
You will learn:
- Be able to work safely. Be able to fell and process trees over 380mm.
- Know health & safety legislation and industry good practice.
- Know how to fell and process trees over 380mm
- Know how to remove branches from felled trees using a chainsaw
- Know how to take down hung up trees
