Type of Learner: For candidates who need to gain a climbing qualification.
Qualification Overview: This standard covers the accessing of trees through climbing (both ladders and using climbing equipment) and by Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) to conduct rescues in a variety of contexts (pruning operation, cutting, dismantle or rigging).
The aerial rescues include recovery of both conscious and unconscious casualties. When conducting aerial rescue, you must maintain high standards of health and safety at all times for both you and the people you will come into contact with. This standard is for those conducting aerial rescue operations. Your work must conform to all current legislation and codes of practice.
What you need to do: Be able to climb trees with height and learn rope work
