This is an Independently Assessed Qualification. 

Type of Learner: Individuals who operate and conduct powered pole pruner tasks as part of their work in arboriculture, forestry, or other industries. It will provide the individual with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to conduct this work. 

Learning outcome: It covers hazards, risks, controls, emergency planning, legislation, industry good practice, roles, and maintenance of powered pole pruners. 

What you need to do: Complete a practical test with one-to-one verbal questioning. 

Qualification Overview: This covers the use of powered pole pruners covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine.  

Duration 

1-day practical training followed by an assessment of 1.5 hours 

Equipment: Please note that you must provide your own equipment for both training and assessment
