This is an Independently Assessed Qualification.
Type of Learner: The qualification is aimed at those who use handheld leaf blowers and vacuums as part of their work, either in horticulture, arboriculture, or forestry.
Learning outcome: Know the legislative requirements and codes of practice relating to the use of a leaf blower.
What you need to do: Complete a practical test with one-to-one verbal questioning.
Qualification Overview: This covers the use of leaf blowers and vacuums, covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to blow or collect vast amounts of leaves to the capacity of the machine.

1-day practical training followed by an assessment of 1.5 hours
