Advanced Technical Extended Diploma Livestock

“I am incredibly proud of the results that I have obtained after 2 years of dedication and personal development at Reaseheath. Originally, I wasn’t supposed to come to college. I was set to do my A-levels, but changed my mind a week before the first term started, as I felt as though I needed to meet more people like myself and get out of school! I am so glad that I did, because it enabled me to come into contact with a huge range of people (who I may need later in my career), expand my knowledge for the industry vastly, and improve my social skills by moving to a greater environment, an hour from home, at just 16 years old. Alongside this, I have been given the opportunity to complete extra courses through the college, such as an artificial insemination course, and because of this, I am currently in charge of serving the cows on my home farm. Reaseheath has enabled me to gain a lot more UCAS points than was necessary to get onto my chosen course at university, in a more enjoyable, mature way than a school could have provided me.
I’d love to give special thanks to Sally Beresford, Phil Gibbon and Louise Glenn, who’s engaging sessions brought real-life scenarios into perspective, allowing me to put my knowledge into practice at home, on the farm.
Reaseheath has been amazing for me. The college has an impressive balance of providing learning experience, whilst having fun. I am so grateful for the memories and the life-long friends I have made, during my time studying here. I truly believe that experiencing Reaseheath will help me as I move onto the next step: Harper Adams University. Here, I will study a degree in Agriculture with livestock production science.”
