This is a great first stepping stone for anyone keen to work in the field of Sport, Adventure Sports or Public Services. It’s an active learning pathway, so you’ll take part in a range of different activities.
From Football and Badminton to Rock Climbing, Kayaking, team building tasks or leadership activities you’ll study a broad insight into the different sectors.
What will I study?
- A range of traditional sports e.g. Football, Table Tennis and Badminton
- A range of adventure sports e.g. Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Kayaking
- A range of public service activities e.g. team building, leadership, navigation
- An introduction to fitness
- Health and safety
- Personal development classes
- Preparation for interview
- Job applications and course applications
- Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications
How long will it take?
- 1 year, full-time
What qualifications do I need to start?
- Flexible entry requirements which may mean some GCSEs at grades 1-3.
What qualifications will I gain?
- Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies
- Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications
