We have a variety of fantastic facilities for you to use on campus, from our own college lake to our high ropes course and indoor climbing wall, and we are also ideally located near some of the best outdoor environments the UK has to offer, including the Peak District and North Wales, which are great locations for you to enjoy a wide variety of adventure sports activities.

“I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world with my job and I’ve been to some of the most beautiful places.
I’ve sailed round the Maldives, the Caribbean, the Seychelles, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Malta and around the Mediterranean. I have a great job but I do have a lot of responsibilities. I often work very long hours as we tend to sail overnight between locations, and when we get to port we’re busy maintaining the boat.
I did a three year Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science at Fleetwood Nautical College after I completed my adventure sports course, then went into the yacht industry as a deck hand and worked my way up. I’m now qualified to Chief Officer so I could command a containership or commercial ship but I’m very happy working in the yachting industry.
My adventure sports diploma stretched me. I developed a lot academically and realised I could aim higher, so I have a lot to thank Reaseheath for.”

“I chose this course because it gives you the equivalent of three A levels along with certificates in leadership and team building. The qualification has been ideal support for my application to join the armed forces – and I’ve enjoyed every second of studying for it.
High adrenaline sports thrill me. I’ve always enjoyed mountain biking and motorcycling and I’ve more recently taken that up a notch with motocross. I’ve raced in national competitions and completed mid-pack, which is good considering I’ve only been doing the sport for two years.
The highlights of the course for me have been the weekly trips off campus when we’ve been able to try a range of outdoor sports. The lecturers are really supportive, both during practical sessions and in the classroom.”

My qualifications are my passport to an income, and have freed me to pursue a long term passion which is to study drama. My qualifications will help pay my way through drama school in London and my degree will help with my application.
I’m planning to combine outdoor sports and fitness and become a personal trainer. There’s a big demand for people with my qualifications and my outdoor sports skills may even help with my acting!

At Reaseheath, our campus is situated between the Peak District National Park and North Wales which enables us to access some of the best venues the Midlands has to offer for outdoor activities teaching and learning, including; The Roaches, Windgather Rocks, Llandegla Forest, River Dee, Llantysilio and Berwyn mountains. Additionally, when the opportunity arises, we have good infrastructure for getting into Eryri and the Lake District National Parks.
