One of the country’s most successful independent specialist land-based colleges, Reaseheath College continues to notch up record student enrolments and achievements.
Our college’s annual awards ceremonies, held over two days, celebrated the success of over 1200 Further Education students who have achieved focused technical qualifications and skills during the current academic year.
An impressive 96% find a rewarding career in their chosen industry or progress into Higher Education, with many opting to take an industry focused degree at University Centre Reaseheath.
Addressing packed audiences, our Principal and CEO, Marcus Clinton emphasised that Reaseheath remains one of the top UK providers of technical land based training and offers programmes which are supported by many key employers.
He pointed out that the Government recognised the value of technical education and that Reaseheath enjoyed outstanding success in developing crucial employability skills among its students. In particular, the college had shown itself to be excellent at developing and embracing new technologies, enabling the industries it serves to flourish, and had continued to develop and invest in many new resources and facilities.
The ceremonies were opened by David Pearson MBE, Chair of the Reaseheath College Board, and by Board Member Karol Bailey.
Guests of Honour were agriculture alumnus Sam Walton, animal management alumnus Felix Rowan-Young and Nicola Allen, Director and Building Surveyor at DA Associates.
A vote of thanks was given by Amber Jackson, President of the Student Association.
Reaseheath College this year celebrates its centenary and we are incredibly proud of the way all the students of our 100th cohort, and particularly our Student Association, have demonstrated creativity and resilience despite the ongoing challenges created by Covid-19.
