Maths and English
Your course, your friends, your Maths and English!
Students aged 16-18 who have not achieved grade 4+ in maths/English will continue to develop their skills by studying GCSE or Functional Skills in these subjects. There is an opportunity for students who meet certain criteria to re-sit their GCSEs in November.
You will be required to attend 2 lessons a week which could include some online delivery (attendance is closely monitored) which will be timetabled with other students from your course. Both teams deliver fun, engaging lessons which feel different to your lessons at school – feedback is very positive!
Students who have already achieved a grade 4, or those who are 19+ can opt-in to continue to study and improve their grades. The department also delivers the Level 3 Core maths qualification to those students who meet the entry requirements and want to continue to develop their maths skills.
