Leading to a Extended Diploma
Do you want to turn your passion for sport into a career? Through blending theory and practice, you’ll develop your knowledge and understanding of the science behind sport. For example ‘how do Usain Bolts long legs give him a physiological advantage?’ or ‘how does altitude effect your performance?’.
You will gain practical skills in the form of sports massage and injury prevention. Learning how to rehabilitate athletes to pre-injury fitness.
After completion of the two year qualification you will have an excellent springboard to prepare you for degree level study or work in the sport and active leisure industry.

- Typically 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (including maths and English), or a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject.
- A genuine interest in sport is essential
